Julius Shulman in Oklahoma City
21 Aug
I just got word that Julius Shulman, renowned architectural photographer, is coming to Oklahoma. He is scheduled to give a lecture regarding his photography of Oklahoma modern.
Shulman was in OK (mainly OKC/Norman and Tulsa) on over 15 trips between 1950 and 1980. Well… as luck would have it …he has agreed to come to Oklahoma at the invitiation of OU’s architecture school (he’s 97 years old so it’s no small feat) and he will be giving a public lecture at Untitled Artspace in OKC on September 11th – cocktails at 5pm and lecture thereafter.
Shulman really wants us to try to get the word out about his visit and most importantly, get the kind of people there who can have an impact on saving some of these important buildings!
